Richter Veneer Technology, Acoustic-Lightboard® Wall Panels, Architectural Specifications. These specifications will work under either section listed below. SECTION 09 77 00 SPECIAL WALL SURFACEING SECTION 09 84 13 FIXED SOUND-ABSORPTIVE PANELS PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS Drawings and general conditions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Divisions-1 Specification sections shall apply to all work hereunder. 1.2 SUMMARY A. Section Includes: 1. Acoustical wall panels. B. Alternates 1. Prior Approval: Unless otherwise provided for in the Contract documents, proposed product substitutions may be submitted no later than TEN (10) working days prior to the date established for receipt of bids. Acceptability of a proposed substitution is contingent upon the Architect’s review of the proposal for acceptability and approved products will be set forth by the Addenda. If included in a Bid are substitute products which have not been approved by Addenda, the specified products shall be provided without additional compensation. 2. Submittals which do not provide adequate data for the product evaluation will not be considered. The proposed substitution must meet all requirements of this section, including but not necessarily limited to, the following: Single source materials suppliers (if specified in Section 1.6); Panel design, size, composition, color, and finish; installation system component profiles and sizes; Compliance with the referenced standards. 1.3 RELATED WORK NOT INCLUDED UNDER THIS SECTION Attachment systems, components and any related hardware. 1.4 REFERENCES A. ASTM E 84 Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials if specified.. 1.5 SUBMITTALS A. As per Section 01 33 00 Submittal Procedures 1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING A. Richter USA, Inc. Acoustic-Lightboard® panels shall be delivered to the project site in the original, unopened packaging. B. The Acoustic-Lightboard® panels shall be stored in a fully enclosed space, for a minimum of seventytwo (72) hours minimum prior to installation. The Acoustic-Lightboard® panels shall be stored in the room in which they will be installed. The temperature and humidity of the room shall closely approximate those conditions that will exist when the building is occupied with a secure ambient humidity at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 55% and the tempurature is not to exceed 80º F (27º C). Panels shall be stored off of the floor. C. The wood veneer panels should not be stored or installed in spaces where the temperature or humidity conditions vary greatly from the temperatures and conditions that will be normal in the occupied space. D. Care in handling must be exercised to avoid damage. 1.7 WARRANTY A. Wall Panel: Submit a written warranty executed by the manufacturer, agreeing to repair or replace acoustical panels that fail within the warranty period. Failures include, but are not limited to: 1. Front Surface: Selected wood veneer pressed onto a 1.5mm E1 HDF panel. Perforations as specified by the architect and\or acoustical engineer. B. Core: 100% post consumer recycled acoustical honeycomb structure. Black acoustical fleece. A 25mm up to 50mm E1 FPY internal perimeter frame for rigidity and installation hardware attachment. Additional internal blocking as requested for methods of attachments. C. Back Surface: Selected wood veneer pressed onto a 1.5mm E1 HDF panel. Perforations as specified by the architect and\or acoustical engineer. D. Edge: Wood veneer edgebanding at 0.6mm thickness to match face surface. E. Finish: Any applied stain or coloration to match architect's approved sample. UV cured clear satin lacquer with low V.O.C.s and no off gassing. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 EXAMINATION A. Do not proceed with installation until all; wet work such as concrete, terrazzo, plastering and painting has been completed and thoroughly dried out. 3.2 INSTALLATION General: The contractor shall install materials in accordance with generally accepted procedures (AWI) for wood veneer wall panels and architect's drawings. The installation shall comply with applicable regulations and industry standards. 3.3 ADJUSTMENT, CLEANING AND REPAIR A. The installation contractor shall make final adjustment to level and\or contours. B. Upon completion of installation, all Richter Acoustic-Lightboard Panels shall be cleaned free of dirt, dust, grease, oils and fingerprints. C. All work which cannot be successfully cleaned or repaired shall be removed and replaced. 3.4 INSPECTION Upon completion of installation, the owner's representative shall inspect all finished surfaces to ensure that work has been performed in a manner satisfactory to the owner. Any deficiencies in the installed wall panels shall be corrected by the contractor at no additional cost to the owner, or to the manufacturer. END OF SECTION
